Two days ago, 11/20/06, I went to my 16 week appointment thinking everything would be fine and normal. My husband and I got to hear our little one's heartbeat last month and were so excited!
Well this time the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat. The ultrasounds also confirmed there was no movement. We were shocked. I have cried for our baby very much. We both are heartbroken.
I just went in for a dilation and curretage 11/22/06 . They gave me a general anesthetic. That worked well and recommend this option if having to face this. I had a wonderful surgeon and great workers taking care of me. Feel free if you have had a prenancy loss and wish to give me advice and/or share your story.

I am very sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your story with us -- please feel free to start a page (perhaps as a subpage of Pregnancy Loss or My Pregnancy Stories) to commemorate your baby. It is wonderful of you to reach out to others and I hope that those who have been through their own losses will be able to offer you some wisdom.
