sore nipples

I am 24 years old and for the last 10 months I have had a regular period; However I am 5 days late, very tired and I have nipple pains that are just about unbearable. I can't even get a good sleep because no matter how I lay my nipples just throb. I very seldomly have nipple soreness before my period and I haven't been pregnant before, so I need to know if all the symptoms are consistent with pregnacy.
