I'm 22 years old and just lost my virginity. We OF COURSE used a condom, perhaps it's just my first time sex jitters but I keep worrying if the condom broke, had a hole, etc, etc. I noticed that when I was on top of him, I felt some wetness, now I'm pretty sure it was from me, b/c it was at his base and on his pelvis. I mean women secret wetness too right? It was clear, not 'milky' white like I know semen is. Also, I noticed on the sheets some little 'circles' of wetness. Clear, again, perhaps sweat or me again? I keep worrying what if there was some hole in the condom and he was leaking?! I don't really think that would be likely though, as I said, the wetness was clear, both on his base when I was on top of him and on the sheets. Also, I know he would have to be leaking from the tip, not from the base right? Is there wetness coming from someone (probably the women) even WHEN a condom is used and used correctly? so ..... i was on the pill for 15 years and i started working out more last year through now so i could lose some weight to gear up for preparing myself to get preggers. i got off the pill after my cycle in jan. i sooo didnt expect that i would be fertile myrtle and it would happen so fast. my first day of my last cycle was on march 20. it lasted 7 days. (waayyyy longer and more miserable than when i was on the pill) anywho.. i had sex with my guy on april 6/7 late night/early morning (you get my drift) and he decided that one of the 3 times not to wear a condom. the week of april 15th comes and i was cramping so i figured i was gearing up for my cycle. the next week comes and still i am cramping and gearing up for all hell to break loose as i was miserable and moody mean. then last week on weds i decided to finally take a pregnancy test on my lunch break and well i took two because i just couldnt believe the one. i called planned parenthood and they said to go to the ER because i was cramping and running a slight fever and they thought i might be having a miscarriage. the lady was rather rude so i called my pcp and asked to come in after work and the nurse told me to go to the ER because they wouldnt be able to do any tests there after hours. so after work i did the banking i needed to do and then went all alone to the hospital. 7hrs later and after feeling violated, poked and proded i am early in my first trimester. i told him on sat. and he seemed to take it well.. well as much a side swiped car could. now he is asking how far along the dr said i am and when i told him 6 weeks he said that he wasnt with me 6 wks ago and that it can't be his. he wants a dna test. i have only slept with him and he acknowledged that we had sex on his bday april 7. this hurts my heart so badly that this man that was so caring could turn around and be this way with me. its as if he is calling me a whore and liar. i just can't get happy about this pregnancy. please help.

My husband and I are trying to have a baby, however I am deemed to doctors as obese. We are desperate to have a child but my family are concerned that there maybe complications along the way. I've read up on subjects such as gestational diabetes, but I would really love to hear from people who have actually been there and had a baby or are currently pregnant and are in the same position as me. tomorrow i will be 4 weeks late. i did 2 hpt last weeks and both came up neg. i have crampy in my stomach back and legs, some days worse than others. i have had a baby before but not having any of the symtoms that i had with her. i am going to the doctor later this week but has any one had similar symtoms? could i be pregnant?

Hi all. I am around 8 weeks preg, the last period i had really strange and then missed a period and now preg so doc thinks i could been preg when got last period wont know til my 1st scan, just wondering was any1 else at this stage experiencing really bad foot cramps[toes mainly] and would they no any way to help with this. Its really driving me crazy and cant sleep at night, in my last preg i didnt get these til near end so dont understand.. Also getting dull menstrual type cramps in my tummy that are worrying me a bit.

I am approximately 11 weeks and 3 days pregnant. My first ultra sound was good and the baby had a strong heart beat, which is a relief.
I recently started to feel some of the larger symptoms. I have a headache about once a week that lasts two days and nausea. Recently the nausea has gotten worse and I worry that something is not right. I have no spotting or bleeding, there is no vomiting, but I am worried. i have an ultrasound this Thursday, should I wait to call my doctor? I was thinking of seeing if things get worse, otherwise I see her on the 15th of April, what do you recommend, should I see her sooner because the onset of the symptoms was all of a sudden?

I'm a little confused. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions and being overly paranoid... but
I started my period April 30th (a day early)... I had cramps, headache, etc. I started out light then got progressively heavier... not heavier than usual. The second day, I had cramps again and a tiny bit of clotting. The third day (yesterday) I was light. I had a regular tampon in and it was barely half way full. By the end of the night last night I had completely stopped. I was able to sleep without any tampon or anything and was completely fine. This morning, nothing. I had my usual PMS symptoms.. I just only went for 3 days. Which is unusual for me seeing as I usually got the full 7 days. The shortest I've ever gone was like.. 5 days. But three... that just seems too short. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms.. no tenderness of the breast, frequent urination, etc etc. But I'm thinking that it's still really early for all of that. I just only went 3 days... which still I'm extremely dumbfounded as to why that is. My boyfriend and I do have unprotected sex, and yes I know that's being extremely irresponsible. But, could the shorter than usual period be a sign that I may possibly be pregnant? Or am I just over thinking it all? |

I recently had unprotected sex a couple times with a friend. I have no signs of my peirod or pregnancy but I am a week late now. I took a Pregnancy test about a week and a half ago and it came up negative. Now a week later, nothing. I'm not sick, or crampy or anything. Has this happened to anyone, do you think I could be pregnant? I'm always under a lot of stress but it's never made me so late before. I'm pretty much alone in this and scared, waiting another week or so to take the test.

So my boyfriend and I were messing around, and he masturbated and ejaculated. He kept his hand on his shaft, but I realize it's still very possible he had sperm on his fingers/hand
About 2-8 minutes later, he rubbed me and fingered me for about, 10-15 seconds. Hi I had unprotected sex 2 and a half weeks ago and my periods are irregular but the last couple of weeks I been frequent urinating and last week I had a brown discharge that lasted 2 days and its was like the end of my period and last weekend I had sharp pains in both of my ovaries and cramps as well 4 two days. I had a pap smear done on monday 2 check 4 stds and that was clear and I don't have a uti cause she checked that as well. I suppose to get my period 27/04 and its four days late. I have been experiencing sore BBS with sore nipples, dizziness, cramping, frequent urination, a clear discharge, hungry and tired all the time. Could I be? Thanks

Hey,
I am 16 year old, and i have never had sex, but I am so scared that i am pregnant. Me and my boyfriend did what i guess you call..forplay? and i started my period early four days after we did it, and then we did it again while i was on my period. Could i be pregnant? .......I was induced & at 27 weeks gestation our daughter Daisy Jade was still born on 10/12/2007 at 3.53am. weighing 1lb 12oz and 33cm long xxxxxxxx
I had pre-eclampsia and hypertension, this is very rare to set in at 24 weeks gestation and because of this it isnt always checked properly. Well thats my story but why am i telling everyone??? its because i want everyone to be more aware on how important it is to do everything you can to ensure every thing is ok. dont always trust your GP, if you even have the slightest doubt go to hospital, get it checked properly by having tests and scans, not waiting days for results..... I am very very lucky, i defeated the odds of being brain damaged and dying. but it doesnt always make up for the fact that we lost our child. please dont let this happen to you, make sure you do everything you can to prevent it, i`ll never forgive myself for not going to the hospital and i`ll always have it on my conscience x thank you for letting me tell my story x |

Hi its claire x In 2007 i came on this site as we started trying for a baby, i fell pregnant &2 days after i found out i miscarried x then 9 months later after trying what it seemed like forever! i fell pregnant. everything was going fantastic! i had awful sickness for about 9 weeks but that wasnt too bad as it was great to be pregnant at last. then as i was progressing i got to 24 weeks & this awful pain struck! right under my right breast in my liver it felt like sum1 had tied a belt around me and was pulling it tighter & tighter constanly getting worse. so went to see my GP who treated me for heartburn and indigestion... but nothing changed, started taking paracetamol constantly every 4hours - most of the time the pain would come back after 2hrs x So went back to GP - saw a different one this time, she said " have you seen any flashing lights" which i replied no. "have you got any headaches? i replied "dont know been taking paracetamol constantly so i wouldnt know". sent for a blood test. results showed possible gall stones so was sent for another blood test. had this then saw another GP2 get some stronger pain killers. now on paracetamol and cocodamol alternatly every four hours, still wishing i could take them sooner as the pain would come back so quickly & at times not even go! next day saw my midwife, thoughtout all this baby seemed abserloutly fine, heartbeat strong and seemed to be growing very well. Blood pressure seemed fine, the only thing wrong was the pain. 2nd test result showed a sign of a change in my liver & and was asked to have another blood test done. but sadly before i even got even close to that day, i had 3 seizures nearly died and lost my baby...............................
My BP was 190 over 170 - sky high - which caused the seizures, which then cut off the oxygen supply to my baby. Once the doctors had found the baby had died they got my health under control and induced me. continued.. |

Good article.
However be very wary of siting Snopes as a valid source of information. They do slip shod research. Note their comment that any fetus carried by a male would have to be male or the hormonse would effectively castrate the "mother" The level of hormones required to support a pregnancy would effectively render any male in capable of sustaining an erection. Regardless of the gender of the fetus. And as with a woman, after pregnancy hormone levels would return to normal, allowing testosterone to once again become the dominant hormone and assuming the male had no prior problems, he should be back to normal sexually. There are numerous cases where these "experts" have stated things are legends, where government, union and industry investigations have stated there are dangers. They have no scientific training or background, just a pretty website.

Is it possible to have ovulated but still miss your period without being pregnant? My cycles are long, and I've been tracking my ovulation, periods, and sex for the last few months. Last month I noticed the egg white discharge on the 27th (my period was the first week of the month), so I ovulated almost 3 weeks after. My husband and I had sex on that day as well. Based on my calculating I should have my period by now. Today would be the 16th day after ovulation. I'm getting mild cramping, but still no sign of my period. Normally before my period I start spotting a few days before. I'm not spotting either. Yesterday I felt like I had my period in the sense that I feel like a Mack truck hits me on the first day. It's a whole other level of exhaustion on that first day. Still no period this morning though.
I'm so afraid to take a test because I've been in this situation before where I hoped I was pregnant and got a negative result. I even had one instance where I got a positive, but it was false. I've decided to wait another week before I test, but my brain is still asking a million questions. Any help would be great. Thanks

It really bothers me to read all the posts about girls who "worry" that they might be pregnant. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 23. I had always wanted to have a lot of kids and be a stay at home mom. I have adopted three kids and I love them dearly, but it's not the same. I would give anything to be able to have that life, that gift, growing inside me. Think about what you're saying before you say it. If you're not ready for kids, don't have sex. You're not mature enough to take responsibility.

My period has always been irregular. I've been on and off the pill for about 3 years and then I stop taking the pill and started wearing the patch. About 7 months ago I stop using the patch and my period was regular for about 3 months then I didnt have my period for about 4 months now . Then I had protected sex (twice) and he did cum inside me. A week later I got my period and it was really heavy for about 1 1/2 weeks. Then 2 weeks later I started feeling like I was getting the flu, but it wasnt. My lower back started hurting, i was getting like a fever off and on, my body was acking and I was not eating right. My back still hurts and I notice that my pants are not fitting me. I took a pregnacy last week and it came out negative. I dont know what to think anymore... Could I be Pregnant???

Hi all, I've been married for almost 4 years now and haven't got pregnant, yet. A few weeks ago, I had all the so-called pregnancy symptoms like never ending nausea, high body temp, and stretched stomach. But luck wasn't on my side as I had my period later. I quit full-time working a couple of years ago and I do part-time works only now to avoid me from being too fatigue. I recently saw a new doctor whom is giving us new treatment and hope. We also think about having insemination, wonder if anyone has ever done it? I'd do anything to get myself pregnant and have babies.
