How can i know if im pregnant if i have irregular mestrual cycles?

Hello ladies! I'm not sure how many women have gone through this but my doctor said i need to lose weight in order for me to regulate my menstrual cycle so i can ovulate. I read that even by losing 10 lbs you can trigger your menstrual cycle. Well a month and a half ago i was weighing 198 lbs and now i am down to 175 lbs. everything was going good i started feeling better about myself, i became more sexually active i was eating healthy and working out, but all of a sudden i started feeling tired, i sleep a lot, i gained weight, my husband says i'm having mood swings, i have felt dizzy a time or two. My husband says he has morning sickness. i took a pregnancy test last week and it came out negative. Since i dont have a period i'm not sure when to take a pregnancy test so i took one again lastnight and it also came back negative Could it be that it is still too early to detect it or could it be that losing 22 lbs in a short amount of time is making me feel this way? Do you find this valuable?
