getting pregnant but need birth control

I just started Lo-Ovral birth control to regulate my periods because they were irregular and it bothered me. I literally just started it about 4 days ago. I know it will take some time to get into my system and start regulating. I was wondering how long it might take and can i still get pregnant even though I am taking it? I know I can skip a day here and there and maybe it will happen but I need to let it get me regular first right? That way I am ovulating more regularly. Any tips or advice is well accepted! Thank you Do you find this valuable?
