My period is very irregular but regular for me. I get it every four months. I'm supposed to get my period in October. I'm not on the pill. Sunday morning after a night of fun my friend Rob and I had sex. We didn't use a condom or anything. Like a half hour afterwards and ever since then i have been having weird pains in my stomach and my back has been hurting really bad. I don't know what's wrong because I know that you can't tell if your pregnant this soon or not and we talked about him STD's and he told me he doesn't and he's never lied to me before so I'm sure he doesn't. What could it be? Do you find this valuable?

You may have had a kidney infection "brewing" before you had sex and it just flared up afterward...if so it's probably a coincidence more than anything. You may want to stop by your doctor/midwife or local clinic for a urine culture. One hint/suggestion: if your doc does hand you a generic antibiotic before they do the urine culture, tell her/him that you would rather wait until you hear back, whether the bacteria in the culture was killed by that certain antibiotic. Because, if you start an antibiotic and it's not the right one, you have made your body more susceptible to more infections that are going to be harder to kill, and it's possible that eventually, even the strongest ones won't work. I hope this helps and that you start to feel better. Drink plenty of water (not too much, though) in the meantime, you may flush it out on your own. Do you find this valuable?

i agree with monica.... but also... drink lots of cranberry juice..i get a LOT of kidney, bladder and urinary tract infections.... and sipping on cranberry juice non stop has always helped me :) Do you find this valuable?
